Linn LP12 Support

Posted by: blueoyster on 18 March 2003

Confused I`ve had a Mana Acoustics table under my LP12 for years. I`ve been offered a wall mount support which I understand is far superior. The Mana can make the LP12 sound slighlty harsh (probably the glass base). I have also just purchased a Quadraspire Q4 reference table which at the moment houses my CD player (along with the 52/supercap/250), any thoughts on compatability with either the quadraspire or wall mount ?

If you don't like what the Mana does to the sound of your LP12, then don't expect the wall shelf to improve it.

I think Mana does for the Lp12 everything that it is claimed to (and maybe, the wall mount more so), but for some people, that's not necessarily your cup of tea.

Try something else and see how you feel. The Sound Org, Audiotech, and Archidee stands offer viable alternatives to those who do not dig on the "mana effect".

Hi there
I use a Hutter rack and it is really excellent - works well for all items including the LP12 and the CD player. I also believe that it fits better into a room as it is less industrial than some of the other racks. I know that this is very old ground in terms of the Forum but this is how things stand for me.
Cheers
