ConFUSED? I am.

Hi,
My wife makes bread using a bread making machine.
On her last attempt to do so she turned on the machine and said machine asked to be programed, which she duley did and then pressed the start button.
Machine then started beeping and showed "Error", tried several sockets - same result.
Anyway the bottom line was that on changing the fuse, normal function was resumed.

IMHO a fuse iether works or it doesn't i,e power or no power?
Thank goodness this fuse was not powering a piece of hi-fi equipment.

That reminds me of "when I was younger, so much younger than today" I had my first hi-fi amp - a Trio (Kenwood)KA-1500 and the instructions said to use a 5 amp fuse in the plug. As I didn't have one, I used a 13 amp one instead. Plugged it in, enjoyed new system. Later, changed it for a 5 amp one, plugged it back and the system just didn't sound as good. This was way before the days of reading about such things in magazines or on forums but in the end it bugged me so much that I changed the fuse back to the 13 amp one and immediately the system sounded better again. Strangely, I haven't been able to recreate this effect with any other amps I've had since.

However, in your case, i think maybe the machine was just powered down for long enough to reset itself!
