dBpoweramp Renaissance - upnp media player with gapless playback

Posted by: likesmusic on 15 January 2010

I just noticed that dBpoweramp are offering a beta version of their media player, which could be very useful to folk wanting to serve up music to their NAIM or other DAC as by using it's built in media renderer it will turn your pc into a streamer with a variety of remote control options. Gapless playback is supported.

Likesmusic, that's superb!

I'm moving back to PC for music with Windows 7. Probably using a MADI Interface/RME ExpressCard or PCI so I can get the full potential from my DAD AX24. I'm also coming to the conclusion that the hidden tracks are important if spending so much time ripping in the first place. The HDX and indeed the Mac Mini/Mac Book is pretty redundant in this scenario.

Further tests at the weekend by the way.
