......in cherry arrived yesterday. Will post photies and comments once things settle down.

Initial feelings are that my uber-mullet system sounds superb.

You will have a long time before they settle down man, thats for sure.Anyway enjoy, the 6 months they take to break in.
I guess you got them from Robert Ritchies, good choice. Whats your other kit?

Billy,

Presently have 52-scap and 135's. Source is LP12 - Ittok - Clavis DC and Pre-fix/Hi-cap plus CDi, all on Fraim.

I'm looking at upgrading the source and presently have CDX on test. I know that the CD source is light right now but I'm waiting to listen to a DAC64 as an option to CDX/XPS or maybe even CDS2. Even with the CDi the quality of the 802's shine through.

I'm not really a Naim speaker fan and have heard them all at various times.

I really chuffed with the 802's. They do PRaT, detail, scale, and despite being physically large they "disappear" musically in my relatively small room.

Been paying all sorts of stuff - K&D, Leftfield, Bill Frisell, Ani DiFranco, Shawn Colvin, Nils Petter Molvaer, Ralph Towner etc.. and it all just sounds ace.

A standing invite to all Naimies (who bring a bottle of wine with them) to come round and have a listen.)

Colin

That is a great setup you have at the minute, it will sound great once your 802 settle down, I guess you are the guy that traded in your 802 last saturday and they sold the same day, I heard about them. I have heard Robert talking about the chord dac 64, but know little about it.
I myself live in stoney.
I have sondek rega rb 300 arm with linn p9 and valhalla kit sikused. cd5 , 102 , psu,250,hicap and 805s, and it sounds great in my room.A few of my mates are real nammies with full spec kit, I guess you could drop me a line with your details and we could all meet somewhere. Anyway colin must dash, in the middle of a rig move at the minute.
Regards
Billy
