Bit early for the new millenium ain't it?
I will need to give it another listen as it just didn't quite grab me first time around.

Yeah, I would suggest giving it a chance. I am enjoying it more with each listen. It initially didn't grab me like "Funeral." But thoroughly enjoying it right now as I type.

Okay Robert, on the strength of your recommendation I'll get it. I have wondered whether to give them a try as I'm doing that Americana trip at the moment. I'll be sure to get smashed when I listen to it the first time.

Just in case anyone was thinking of seeing them in Europe:
Arcade Fire have cancelled the rest of their European tour due to illness. Frontman Win Butler has pulled the plug on nine shows scheduled across the continent, after all that hollering and whooping took its toll on his voice.
Confirming that dates in Germany, France and the Netherlands would not be going ahead - US dates in April are still on the schedule for now - Butler released a personal statement on the band's website, explaining the circumstances and that he now faces sinus surgery.
The nine cancelled dates:
Mar 24: Oslo, Sentrum Scene Mar 25: Copenhagen, KB Halle Mar 27: Berlin, Postbanhof Mar 28: Munich, Elser Halle Mar 31: Lyon, Transbordeur Apr 1: Cologne, Palladium Apr 2: Utrecht, Vredenburg Apr 4: Brussels, Halles de Schaerbeek Apr 5: Lille, L'Aerone
