Chaps

We have discussed the merits of seeing Richard Thompson live before. He is touring in 2006. Details here;

Happy to report that two tickets for the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester only incurred a £2 charge, not the dreaded Ticketmaster price hikes.

Two tickets for the Chichester Festival Theatre (19 January) only incurred a 50p postage charge. Even better.

Saw the concert at the Bridgewater Hall last night. Great venue and a auperb concert. Like a lot of artists it seems to take a few songs for things to liven up but by the end and 2 encores he was flying.

Mention must go to Danny Thompson on (amplified) double bass. Really added a lot of texture to the tunes. This was bass that you could feel but not that which would threaten your diaphragm or liver capsule.

Still 7 dates left. Go see!
