Stereophile Test CD 3

Hi All -

I recently received Stereophile's Test CD 3:

which can be yours for a measly $9.95 USD+shipping. The CD has 27 tracks of useful stuff - channel identification, phase checking, chromatic scale tones, tones for bass, midrange, and treble, quite a few neat music tracks, a burn in track (track 20), a demagnetizing tone (track 21), and many others. Click on the arrow at the bottom of the page to start a tour of the CD's contents.

Last night I played the bass tones and could easily hear the room nodes as I moved towards and away from my speakers. The sofa was located in a large "dead zone" near the middle of the room. Moved the speakers towards the rear wall and the difference between the nodes was far less - much more even in-room response. Moved the couch a bit and Wow! Mucho better.

Highly recommended.

Greg, the disc may be a measly 9 bucks, but the shipping makes it 44! Is there a UK source or alternative?

Maybe there is something wrong - I went through the whole ordering procedure, and then it quoted me 30 odd dollars for shipping - 7 I woudn't have hesitated at. I'll have another look later.
