What a bad experience with 'Heat'!!!

Posted by: Consciousmess on 31 March 2009

Hi all,

I had to share this with you. I recently rented 'Heat' from my local video store (gosh does that make me old by using the term 'video store'?!) and loved the film.

It has fantastic acting and was gripping right up until the last scene......

(If any of you haven't seen the film yet, please feel free to stop reading this post now!)

...in the last scene there was DiNero and Pacino in a shoot-out against each other. I saw the start of this, and then the bloody disc was scratched and the Blu Ray leaped to the VERY FINAL SCENE with DiNero having been shot several times in the chest and dying.

Followed by the effin end!!!!

Frustrating or what???!!!!!

Take it easy Jon, life sucks sometimes! I rented "In the valley of ellat" last weekend. Here in Saudi movies are censored and edited. So during the most climactic scene where we are supposed to know what led to the murder crime which the whole movie rotates around, the film gets clipped and I'm taken to the last scene of the movie where it doesn't make any sense. Really pissed me off. I thought it might be of condolence to you knowing that other forum members had to suffer something similar recently Winker

Heat is an all time great. The shootout scene after they rob the bank is fantastic. I think they are releasing it on Blu-Ray soon, that is a day one purchase for me.

If you liked Heat, checkout Miami Vice (the movie), it's pretty good.

Miami Vice is great. You should also watch Collateral.

Thanks guys, I will watch them both!!

Is Collateral Damage Tom Cruise or Schwarzenegger??

I have also been told The Departed is brilliant.

Do you agree?

Collateral Damage is with Arnold Schwarzenegger
Collateral is with Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx

I also heard The Departed is very good but have not seen it yet.

I enjoyed both Collateral and The Departed. I recall Collateral being rather brutal. The Departed had Leo DiCapiro and Jack Nicholson.

I've had Heat on loan from NetFlix for months but have not yet felt like watching it, but on the basis of these comments will try to watch it this weekend.

Heat's a great film but then I'm a big fan of Michael Mann's work.

His latest project looks promising too:
