Having read quite a few German writers work over the years, from Hesse, Mann, Lessing, Nietsche, Döblin, Grass, Fontain, etc, I read them all in translated English. Strangely enough although I regularly read papers, etc, I havent actually ever read a book novel or otherwise from cover to cover in German as yet. This changed a few days ago (partly to do with my new Class Mistress who I'll visit for private tuition in the moaning once again, (homework in hand) hopefully correct too, unlike last week etc!

Nah, I just get all sleepy when im pissed and even more benign than when I am sober. Not that I often get pissed. The last time was about 10 years ago and before that I was about 18. As for fighting I can honestly say I have never ever had a punch up over a difference of opinion.

The last punch up I had, which was too one sided to be called a punch up was when I lifted a Filipino mugger clean orf his feet with one punch. The strange thing is our Fritz, seeing him on the deck all crumpled up and in tears and blubbing about how he could not feed his family I felt very sorry for him. Far from grabbing him by the scruff of his neck and marching him to the local police I sat him down in a starbucks and bought him a coffee, listened to him recount all the details of his ghastly life, and truly felt sorry for the chap. I gave him a good talking to, exchanged mobile numbers and let him go and in doing so I won a friend for life. I later had need of some assistance in a difficult situation and phoned this chap and he was at my side with a bunch of stout hearted fellows within 30 mins just as I er...predicted. He saved me from what could have been a very nasty situation indeed. Positive thinking old chop.
