Fraim questions

Posted by: Nic Peeling on 07 December 2001

I have a couple of questions for Naim (I apologise if these repeat previous threads but I have been off the forum for many months).

Was the Fraim designed primarily scientifically, primarily by experimentation using listening tests, or by a mixture of both methods?

If scientific methods were used can Naim tell us anything about how they measured the objective performance / sonic effects of stands?

The seond question is about the vexed question of stand comparisons. It is really hard to do A/B comparisons of stands. Can Naim think of anyway they can demonstrate the effect of the Fraim vs a solid non-specialist support at one of the Hi-Fi shows? I think many people would be fascinated by hearing the magnitude of any difference without reigniting any "our stand vs their stand" debate. I think many forum readers are curious whether any stand can make the sort of diffence many posters (including me) have claimed. A good demo could help Naim customers assess whether the cost a Fraim is worth it in sonic as well as style terms (it is beeoootiful).
