Jackson Browne Solo

The new album "Jackson Browne solo acoustic vol. 1" is quite good. Very good musically and sonically. JB's patter between songs is slightly tiresome, but not enough to detract from a fine overall effort, especially in contrast to the crap being pushed on everyone nowdays.
I've mentioned this before, but it's worth repeating - Jorma Kaukonen's "Blue Country Heart" is a good one. Jorma, acoustic guitar, a few bluegrassy friends...

I've had the JB solo acoustic CD for a while. It's great to hear the stripped down essence of these great songs.
And at least the inbetween song banter is logged as separate 'tracks' - so it can be avoided.

John,
Question for you on the subject of JB on the Jap Replica thread.
Must give Solo a spin.

There was a thread on this a while ago. Yes it is very good, and at least the patter is on separate tracks so it can be skipped.
Saw Jackson and David Lindley (with a Cuban percussionist whose name escapes me) a few weeks ago in Sydney and they were great, plenty of material there for a new acoustic album, much of it IMO better than what's on the current CD.
Lindley really fleshes out the performance with his amazing abilities on everything from an oud to a violin. (He sings too, but I'll overlook that.)
