Speaker bites head

Greetings
Is there some trick to taking the ferocious element out of the Credos sound?
They are well and truly anchored to a concrete floor, level and no slopping around on the spikes. Being driven by a 180 btw with CDX, 102 and the two recommended power supplies upstream.
There is obviously a reasonable speaker in there somewhere but when pushed (a bit) these things start to shreik. No problems on simple acoustic music or flash expensive productions but play something a little earthy and yikes!!
Just played Heroes for the first time since they arrived hence the query

Have I bolloxed the install somehow?
cheers

Time and time again i read these messages ...if you set up the gear and it is not right the system will go like that...isolate ,isolate the Naim from what ever you have it sitting on use a mouse pad cut into small pieces place under feet of gear..if you like what you hear get some ringmat products

Could it be your room acoustics? I've the same cdp and amps as you with Intros, never had a problem like yours. Or maybe I'm deaf.

Sorry if I wasn't clear earlier...the 102 has Hicap and Napsc, speaker cable is Naim A5 and the boxes reside on a 5 tier Sound? Tripod.
The rack isn't between the speakers but off to one side (about a metre from nearest Credo) and speakers are approx 12 inches from back wall.
For Kris' benefit I would have to say that if you own a 102 you MUST own a Napsc...non negotiable.

system setup issues (upstream), by the sound of it. I've heard Credos positively sing. How's the mains situation?

Hi , i had the same experience of wanting to ditch system when i had a 102 and 180( and did).
I subsequently blame the parnering of these two items , and mostly the 180. I now use a 102 with 250 and there is no harshness.
