40 Years Of The Blues.

Profile tracing the colourful career of one of the most influential figures in British rock music. John Mayall's Bluesbreakers set Eric Clapton on the road to superstardom in 1966 with their hugely acclaimed 'Beano' album. Among the many other musicians who began their careers with Mayall are Mick Taylor, Peter Green, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood.

I loved some of his 60's stuff with Eric, Peter Green and Mick Taylor. They should really do a programme on Alexis Koerner known as the father of British Blues.

Hope so munch. I always used to turn off the TV or music whenever Alexis's radio show was on at 6.30 on a Sunday night. I have yet to ever come across soemone who could explain all genres of music the way he did. He could play a cajun track and somehow link it to a Miles Davis track simply wonderful and sorely missed.
