Must Say These Folks At Salisbury ………

...are a tremendous bunch of folks. Absolutely first class!

A few weeks ago my three-year-old CD3.5 was giving me a bit of problem. It wasn’t performing correctly due to some hardware malfunction. I was beginning to despair as I had only just recently become a “Naimee” for the first time having replaced my old equipment with an all-Naim lineup.

Richard Dane, the Naim administrator at Salisbury had come to hear of my problem and suggested that I sent the 3.5 back to base for an examination. A few days later Salisbury rang up to report what had gone wrong with my machine and gave me a quotation for repairs. (Other less reputable company would have just gone ahead with repairs and bill you with X hundred pounds).

Naim and I came to an amicable agreement as to how best to repair my player and last Friday my 3.5 returned home looking like brand new. It is now all singing and dancing again. Many thanks Rich, Mark and all at Salisbury. Like I said, you’re all a tremendous bunch.

Tango !

Glad to hear that they are fixed your problem.
This is not an incident, that's for sure.
I believe that they serve every customer that way. They are one of the few or maybe only company which try to keep they customers and respect investing a lot of their money in Naim products.
You guys in the UK can be more calmer when something going wrong. You got a lot of friends which own Naim, you have a lot of dealers with good technician and at the end, Salisbury is close to you if needed.
For me, situation is more complicated, especially because there is no actual dealer here, just person who sell Naim. According to this, I feel secure and relaxed while listening my hard earned whole Naim audio system while I know that there is always someone available in the Salisbury to resolve any problem I got, especially Richard.

That's from me ! Smile Cool

Tuan !

You should see how many 3 MONTHS old Levinson transports (top loaders) are in their service room.

Couldn't agree with you more. I have just recieved my AV2 back from Naim after it 'ceased functioning'. Richard was more helpful from the first day I contacted him. I live in Japan where (suprisingly) there is no Naim representation at all so there were added logistical factors involved. I sent it back 3 weeks ago to the day and it's back working perfectly.

Tuan, Everything goes wrong sometimes even though as we all know it is exceptionally rare with Naim equipment and this is the first time I have had anything go wrong in 11 years of owning Naim.
As Ozren said, it's good to know that the guys at Naim will jump hoops to help you when something does go a bit strange.

Nick.

You dont have to go all the way to Salisbury to experience the legendary Naim Service.Last year my 250 developed noise in one channel. My local dealer collected the amp (leaving a similar amp on loan). The amp was repaired by the main distributor here in Germany (Music Line) and returned to me within a few days by my local dealer.

The bill for the repair was very very reasonable. When all this service is factored into the retail price then I consider it to be a bargain.
