Chilton; (just curious)

Flicking through a copy of "Hi-Fi in the Home" (John Crabbe; published 1972 (2000 anorak points claimed)) I notice that the Chilton 100s reel-to-reel tape machine was sufficiently well thought of at the time to warrant a photograph (along with the more obvious Revoxes, Ferrographs, etc). The text gives no other details other than a "one to consider" recommendation.

Anyone know anything about this machine? Did I imagine it, or have I read somewhere of some link between the late JV and the company who made Chilton tape machines?
