NaimUniti Update in USA

Posted by: ZMCK on 25 May 2010

I´ve already contacted two retailers in USA about the update and both don´t know anything about it!
First I tried with the one who sold the Uniti in Michigan and then another one in Pittsburgh who never even heard about the Uniti!!!
NAIM would make it A LOT more easy to us, the end users, if they simply let we download all the files and instructions from their website.
I guess anyone who spent US$ 3K in hi-end audio must have at least one no-break at home to eliminate the risk involved in the update process.

Why not give us a call in Indianapolis?

I was first contacting the retailers around the places I use to stay.
If you can help me remotely from Indianapolis, that will be fine!

As posted before - no guarantees when updating embedded firmware, best left to a qualified dealer no matter what your expertise level.

My problem is that there is no "qualified dealer" around. Do I need to ship the Uniti to another state for every release of a new update?
I´m aware of the risk involved in a firmware update process and accept it, if the correct instructions are provided.
