i recently purchased "half the perfect world" -- i cant recall who recommended this to me here sometime ago, but, oh, what a wonderful, unforced music!

Hi Ken,

much as i really like the music and Madeleine's singing on 'Half the perfect world', my cd copy sounds very dense from a tonal bass up treble down perspective. I think it's probably the odd way they're mastered it, pity it wasn't produced as neutral as 'Careless Love' released a couple of years earlier, which imo is a far better album too : )

regards~

I second Nymph's recommendation, Ken. Careless Love is a very nice record and well recorded.

Yes HTPW left me a bit underwhelmed but CL is very good.

Just discovered her recently based on a recommendation from 'Lontano' - since then I have caught up with her whole back catalogue. She is amazing.

CL and Dreamland are my favorites.
