Thanks for that,I didn't know. I recently got Radioheads "in rainbows" on vinyl, but due to my broken arm, haven't had chance to play it yet.

I hope it's better than the last series. Don't look like it though.

Radiohead were absolutely awesome IMHO. I was switching between "later" and the Oscar Peterson stuff on BBC 4. He was equally brilliant in a different way.

Extra track from Radiohead that was played after the show had finished see here

Munch nice story. Your daughter was obviously enjoying herself too much to worry about freebies for her Dad Winker

Good Radiohead link. And even better to see that the Beeb has got rid of the annoying boogywoogy accompanist who appeared in earlier series of Later... Razz

Surprising! A good show - must have been because of the Leap Year.

Chris Barber Band showed, I thought, the Jools Holland Band how it should be done. It was just so tight!

Enjoyed Devon Sproule, who I've not heard before; Supergrass seem to be on very good form; Dianne Reeves was smoking; and enjoyed The Kills (a first for me) in a Prentenders meet White Stripes kinda way.

The only thing I couldn't stand was Vampire Weekend - dressed like they sound - an Ivy League college weekend band. Very weak and exceptionally pretentious with it, 'Oxford comma' and all - since there was no reference to what an 'Oxford comma' is (when a comma may precede an 'and', like a mini semi-colon) and the words following bore no relationship to an Oxford comma, it can only be assumed that they have been leafing through some weighty grammar tome and pulling out phrases at random.

I thought the Blues number Andy Fairweather Low played with the Chris Barber Band was exceptional. I think you could see the Band getting into the song and the Brass going full blast really impressed me. This had a vibe like "life in a glasshouse" from Amnesiac. I will look up the AFL solo album he recently released on the strength of this.
