I know what you mean Andy. My eldest went for the first time last year and had a whale of a time, He'd be there now but it clashes with A levels this year.

The great thing about having kids of this age though, is that they introduce you to some great music. We're just watching Mumford & sons on the red button who our lad introduced us to a while back.

I dropped and picked my 16 year old daughter to her school prom last night. She looked stunning and so grown up. She's not my little girl any more and I'm immensely proud and a little sad at the same time.

Time goes way too quickly.

I always liked Dave Allen's comment on aging 'I don't mind getting old, when you consider the option'.

I know I am getting old [like my ancient pinchers] when I cannot cut brake and gear cables well on a bike!

I took the now completely rebuilt old bike to the shop the have the cables shortened to a safe inch or so long after the adjusters, and the proper cable end nipples cramped on! The guy felt sorry enough for me to refuse to take money for the job, so we compromised with a contribution to the charity box!

Getting older does have nice aspects to it!
