Air purifiers (ionizers)

I bought a couple of small 7" plug-in units as I thought they would clear the air, especially during the winter months when the windows are open less frequently.

I put one in the hall last week and I was surprised at how effective it worked. A tiny little thing actually made our hall fresher.

Yesterday, I put the other one in my bedroom. Last night I had a dream that I was suffocating and woke up, but didn't think any more of it.

On the packaging of this product it says it produces trivalent oxygen (O3). I have searched on the net about this and apparently there are lots of reports about too much O3 (ozone) being dangerous to your respiratory system.

Obviously, I have unplugged the units.

How are these things being sold legally? Has anyone got an ionizer unit in their house?

Yes, I've got a couple of them. They both have little heated dishes on top so you can put essential oils in them. I've been using Eucalyptus to help clear my chest. (I'm just getting over a cold).

Perhaps I ought to write my will before it's too late.
