NEW POP QUIZ
Posted by: BigH47 on 28 February 2005
The US POP QUIZ seemed to be petering out. So I suggested we "open" it up to general pop/music. It was suggested that I get it started. Me and my big fingers!
Ok here goes:-
A group who could also be a farming system. Current and not particularly well known chartwise.
Howard
I have added this question to the end of the US one as well.We could stick with the new thread or ask for the original to be re-named? Others may have switched off the original thread.

No.
Looks like no one's going to get it.
The answer is: I, Ludicrous.
Sometime support band for The Fall. In the tradition of the Bonzos, Halfman HalfBiscuit, etc. Surely I'm not the only fan on this forum?
Have a look at www.Iludicrous.co.uk
I'll post an easier question later on.

I was going to pose a question about an American Folkie but it is supposed to be a pop quiz, so here we go –
A single was released here in the early 80’s by an American disco type band that I thought was great but it was not a big hit. Then 3 years later a British band released it as there first single it was a great success and they are still just about going today. I thought the singer of this band had a very good voice (most people think that he is a complete tosser) but that their music ranged from good to completely inane.
So what was the name of the band who released the original and better version of the single?
