Pink Floyd: What's the name of the Scottish man on Ummagumma?

Posted by: Consciousmess on 14 January 2009

Hi, I had to ask this question to all you Floyd fans.

I have just re-discovered this album now I have a 252 system and I am impressed with the quality of the recording - considering it was released in 1967. It's great foundational music for their later work and I guess testament to the era it was released in, but I'm really curious:

Who is that man with a broad Scottish accent on... track 7 I think???

I'd be really grateful if someone knew!!

Cheers

Jon

On "Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict" you mean?

I *think* it's Roger Waters faking a Scottish accent. Rog makes a great Pict.

It is Roger Waters, inspired by Ron Geesin.

There are only four tracks on that album worth listening to.

Can you guess which ones?
