What's a reasonable price for a 1990 Hicap?

Posted by: Markus S on 06 July 2003

I'm being offered a 1990 (67XXX) Hicap, olive, unserviced, mint. What would be a reasonable price for this unit?

Note to moderators: this is not a wanted ad in disguise, as I have a specific unit in mind.

Thanks for all answers,

Markus

It will obviously need a recap/service as its about 13 years old so you will have to factor this into the price.

I'd hope to get a bit more than that for an Olive £300 for an older chrome bumper would be OK. I have two old Hicaps that sound fine and have not been recapped

Markus did ask for a reasonable price Wink
Bearing in mind it's thirteen years old I wouldn't pay any more than 300 for it.
Would fetch between 350-400 on Epay though....

I've purchased several used hi's and paid 750 US for them if they'd been recently serviced. Since the one you're looking at needs servicing, I'd get the estimate for a service and factor that into the total value of the purchase price.
