can anyone give their views on this phono stage as one is up for sale at my dealer. its 7 years old and in vgc i currently run armageddon lp12 ittock and troika into 72 hicap 160 is it worth going this route or going the prefix way.also is their any backup as I cant find a phone no. for kinshaw.

I very dimly remember it getting a decent review in one of the hi fi mags years ago. Is it the one with a separate PSU? I suspect Kinshaw are well out of business by now.
A Prefix should easily better it - especially for LP12 owners who can get one properly fitted to their LP12s (which is after all what the Prefix was designed for). Not sure if you'd need a separate PSU for the Prefix, or if your HiCap could power it.
The Kinshaw would only really be worthwhile if dirt cheap in comparison.
