One thing that always amuses me between English & German/European types at the bar of some non descript gaff is when they start losening up and get boasting about their earnings (always number one theme it seems to me) (Women too)there's always a look of surprise at the relative low income of Our lot over here (in the same firm often).



Perhaps it's becuase we always refer to Our net incomes, what we really have in Our hands at the end of the day, and not the Bullshit 45K+ plus Rover number innit*

As you see fit to once again grace my one and only thread Michael, I shall grace you with the same answer I've always given, or rather in the same vein. Fortunately most of this world (including myself) do not measure quality of life upon your scale, you needn't EVER say please to me (you're wasting your fingertips Son) and I alone decide the quality of my own life which it's true will 'slightly' diminish by having literally a few hundred bucks a month less, which realistically (as I've already put in place) means halving my monthly goings out to pubs listening to jokers like you crying on my shoulder cos they've lost their bonus for the year or some such inane totally inconsequential matter.

Unlike your Chums who work in Germany for firms they go home after making their short term dosh, when you live eventually in Spain you will remain British and look down upon the locals. I am a part of this society 100% (do you understand me here I wonder, I doubt it?) I am European/ London born, and take the rough here with the smooth, and your own lack of knowledge is mind-boggling. The fact that €Millions worth of Berlin properties are being snapped up at present by British investors is neither here not there either, Berlin owns it's own water supply, London's is Foreign (think about it, never mind the Gas and lack of food self sufficiency barring Tesco's).

You produce nothing personally, wealth creation for a few (including yourself on a big scale is morally reprehensible in my view, without any smart arse politico telling me so or otherwise).

N.B. A few nights ago I attended a long lecture (required by a new Law) enebling me to become insolvent after ten + years of struggling with a bank debt which was unpayable (95% paid back though). I realised that debt and bankruptcy can effect absolutely anybody, and some of those there present astounded me, all working, including myself. This new Law (soon to be revoked becuase of Political oppsition from many camps) will enable me barring paing it back in bewtween to be totally debt free in 6 years time. I maintain my ability to have accounts etc, even sign new contracts (with the Courts knowledge) so have a certain amount of freedom. My debt to-date is but a tiny fraction of what some of those others wrer talking (mind boggling and will never ever be reopaid/ business debts) mine is less than €6,000:


The Judge will soon decide on wether the State will deem ir wise to spend more money on or not*


Be careful out there in Spanish Spain Juan there are many Englishmen*

P.S. As a final information pointer to the above scribe (not whinge by the way) the legal workings required for me to attain this insolvency are not free (and no State aid is available for it). If taken the whole way (at the Beak's discretion) it will cost circa €2,000 which I am liable to pay, and as you can imagine with my relatively small debt burdon (my only one by the way too) it's alrge percentage compared to some Jonnie of a Consultant who's speculated on Bank loand lost a fortune, and now pays 2 Grand for the State to bail him out in 6 years time (Hardly surprising that many are against it, issit?).


I sign the papers on tuesday at 11:00hrs, after completinhg a 40 page application forma for the Court:

N:B: With the offending bank loan I was also fully insured (you know the good old one off payment at the bank to cover possible unemployment as was the case) which in reality is a bonus for the employee (as well all know) don't play ball. don't get the loan bollocks).

P.P.S. Another final pointer that came to mind (which probably affects most on here too being mortgage holders etc) irrespective of your income was the amount of actual creditors some of my fellow lecture-mates had. My initial Bank loan in 1982 here (always with the same bank) by the end of 95 was a culmination of 5 seperate loans inter-twining so to speak, each time the latest swallowing up the current overdraught and remaining bit of the previous loan (it's illegal here for a bank to give a customer a loan when they still have a overdrawn OD), once the loan is sanctioned, lo and behold you also have a clean OD facility to start again too (I've never used Credit cards thank God). My point here being that I was never called in (always in work) though the amount of my final debt was some 50 odd+ plus times my monthly income? so who's to blame? I never had a gaurantor either, fortunately (that's another matter). So as many know, you don't get a loan with present bank etc, you go to another and get one immediately no questions asked, hence some of these folks had 20+ seperate creditors (the mind really boggles dunnit) we're talking individuals here not International conglommerations, innit*

Off to the whole in the wall now to get some beer vouchers in, Tara*

Sorry to be Soooo boring here Chaps, but the very last trick in the tail of the Financial er, Industry I forgot to mention, ie, My bank (that I've been dealing with via a professional lawyer in the field with by the way since 96 who has my full power of attorney), last year (Totally out of the Blue and unsual here, though standard practice in the UK I believe?) sold on my debt (Without 'any' prior warning either) (legally) to a third party, ie, a credit recovery agency (though renouned and legally registered with the Govt)(no Mafia Jonnies so to speak) and they after a time can sell it on too, apparently?
