Kodo drummers??? Does anyone know what they might be?

Hello.
When asking a friend for a recommendation for some megahard percussion music he mentioned kodo drummers but could remember nothing other than the name.

Does anyone know of them?

In the 60's there was an African version, called Burundi Black , they even had a top 50 hit, I think.

in a live performance they're wonderful, they actually try to get you by mimicking your heart beat and then take you thru the paces. I don't think a CD would be half as interesting. there are other groups that do this also.
