I had a look at them a while back - very funny in a large trousered sort of way. Fagen looks pretty cool throughout. Baxter is a sublime player and you can see his 'cobbled together' fender doing the business.

Other goodies on youtube is the scene from the muppets when Buddy Rich out drums animal - classic.

By the way, there is an interesting article titled 'back to Annondale' on the Mizar5 website. It is basically Fagen having a wander around his old campus and contains some juicy titbits for the Danheads amoungst us. If you want to know who Rikki is and why she souldn't lose that number then now is your chance....

Will do, but where have those clips been hiding? The only vintage Dan footage I knew of was that OGWT film of Reeling In The years.
The wonders of the web.

I absolutely love the video to new frontier, an absolute classic. It is a shame that Fagen never embraced the visual side of things to a greater degree. It would have been great to have had a video to accompany something off the new (and fantastic IMO) album.

I would love to get a good quality copy of that video, I think it may be an extra on the 5.1 version of the nightfly. I need to investigate....

The Video of New Frontier is available on the DVDA version of The Nightfly. Perhaps it will appear on the new CD remaster of the Nightfly that is planned?
