Änglagård Re-Issues

For those who remember my Scandinavian Prog thread, and for those who don't but like symphonic prog much in the style of classic Yes without being slavish copyists, here's some great news.

Änglagård are releasing both of their long-deleted studio albums from the early 90s that hitherto have been fetching silly money on eBay. Their first, Hybris, is already out, remastered and with a bonus track and Epilog is to follow.

I can't praise the music highly enough. Complex, interesting, with plenty of good hooks it has all the good bits of prog without the disappearing-up-their-own-fundament downside that some bands fall into. They, along with Landberk and Anekdoten were principally responsible for the huge (and excellent) revival of this sort of music in Scandinavia.

A track from both albums can be heard here at Prog Archives, and Hybris bought from the band here (though Swedish VAT and the postage make it a bit pricey until it gets distributed elsewhere).
