Rick Wright - Broken China
Posted by: Consciousmess on 06 February 2009
This post is for all Floyd fans who also have interests in the solo work of each artist.
I have had this album for quite a while, but not listened to it for years as it doesnt have a as much 'grab me' as Waters work, Gilmore work and all Pink Floyd material. However, it is recorded in Q-sound and if you have a good quality Naim system the sound quality is out of this world!!!
Sit yourself in the sweet spot listening position and set the volume high - not too high, but at least 9 O'Clock.
The sound immersion is by far the best of anthing that any of the Floyd members have done - and I know as I own them all, including Mastersound reproductions and gold-plated mixes.
I liked Waters' Q-sound on Amused to Death, but I think Rick Wright's album Broken China beats this - AT LEAST THE START OF THE ALBUM.
Prepare yourselves!!
