Will I Ever Learn ?

Had the pleasure of going over a few videos last night of British comedy that my younger brother had made for me a few years back, only to find that that two of them had been taped over with bloody football matches. I'd only only recently got these back after about a two year break being lent to a so-called mate, I know I should have broken the plastic thingy off like with cassettes, but is this really the point ? Some people are just fucking wankers really , at least I'll save a stamp on next years Christmas card list, the worst bit for me though is that my afore-mentioned younger brother is unfortunately no longer with us, and this 'person' was well aware of their special relevance to me, it seems I am daft, innit.

Fritz Von He's very lucky I'm not a violent chap, cos I really was quite cross Cool

Not daft, just trusting. What a thoughtless bastard.

Goes to show you cannot put blind faith in everyone, bound to be dissapointed! Frown

Me mother said to me long time ago that if you lend money to others, don't expect it to be repaid. This I apply to all my dealings now, i.e. prepare for the worse if you cannot prevent it. Frown

Nevermind Fritz, better things will come your way, perhaps! Smile

I once loaned a large and expensive reference book to someone for a couple of days. Several weeks passed. In the end he admitted he had passed it on to someone else I had never heard of. Who had left it out in the rain. Used it as a long-life beer mat down at the pub. Used it as a pillow while working under his car. Used it as a workbench for his wood and metal working practice. This person only returned it under protest after several reminders from my own contact. It being so valuable to his everyday life one can well imagine why he so wanted to hang onto it. He kept the dust jacket for old times sake.

Yes the mentality of some people is really quite suprising sometimes isn't it ? Coming from a fairly big family I think one learns 'possibly?' more about respecting other peoples things, than say an only child would ?

Fritz Von I personally can do wothout these people, I'm no angel myself, but am always 'AWARE' that something belongs to somebody else, or has a special meaning to them, and how they treat and look after it is their own affair.

Passing down Teddy Bears Cool

P.S. Nime, If that person had simply been dosy, and had apologised and financed a new book (within a reasonable time frame) I'd let it go, but when it's obviously been abused, as has your good will and intentions have been, and that person may well be having a little giggle everytime he sitting on it under his motor, well I'd be almost wishing that the Jack Broke Smile

Never expect others to act as you would yourself. You might be the odd one out! Winker

Phritz

Since you still seem able to type, may one assume that Sir Michael Thrust (PO & Bar) was unable to find a quality rhubarb forcer with your inside leg measurement? I wonder if they are guaranteed frostproof? One can't be too careful in these matters you know!

When you think that the Spanish not so very long ago in their arrogance and ignorance though through superior weaponry (ie: gunpowder) wiped out over 500 years of far more advanced Civilised Mayan's in a matter of a few years, including systematically destroying all evidence to-boot, it makes one wonder what modern 'Civilisations' really would possibly get up to with the advantage of nuclear warheads etc at their disposal, innit ?

The Rwandans did it to their cousins with screwdrivers and machetes. While the world's "leaders" turned their backs. Despite months of clear and specific warnings of planned and imminent genocide.

Thank god they didn't have nuclear weapons or someone would have tried to stop them!
