Fritz Von I only get back what I've paid in John, care to comment further? plus I've already got more than enough years paid in to recieve a pension tomorrow if need be, though I expect If I live that long I'll be working like most people until I'm 67, then maybe I'll get a year or two, then that'll be that, your Chaps win every time (financially at least)*

The Office shut down early today.
I think you need to go on an anger management course. You sound somewhat bitter.
How come you paid your dues whilst being on the dole ... do they pay your payments for you...I got to give credit where it's due, you have well and truly shafted the old German Taxpayer.
Still better them than us.

I have to ask, why do you come out with this low grade drivel posing as humour.
It is rarely funny, never witty and it is just juvenile.
Why do you do it ?
Wit adds to banter but your stuff is just plain dull.

Is Mick Parry Captain Mainwaring?
'Mainwaring is a pompous, blustering figure filled with a somewhat overdeveloped sense of his own importance, fuelled by both his social status in Walmington-on-Sea as the local bank manager, and his status as the Captain and commander of the local Home Guard volunteer unit. A very officious man, he believes in following rules and orders to sometimes ludicrous degrees. He is extremely class conscious and something of a snob, considering himself to be upper-middle class and displaying a tendency to look down on anyone whom he considers to be beneath him (this may be attributed to his working class background and the intense struggle he faced to lift himself beyond this). Mainwaring is also somewhat prudish and repressed, and can be extremely judgemental about people whom he believes do not share his moral outlook'.

Acad, I haven't said the wretched things that you have repeatedly posted about other members of this forum whose opinions you don't share. I thought I'd give you the opportunity to share with us all what a sterling human being you think you are. After all, if you thought the same things about yourself as you do about Mick Parry, for example, then you'd possess that most sterling of all human qualities - self-awareness - and would therefore not be so willing to denigrate others in your posts.

Re: The Kings/Queen's Shilling thread! I expect one is also aware that VC Holder Beharry has recently secured an advance on a book regarding his escapades of 1 Million, and bloody good luck to him too, though strangely enough the News Channel of the Universe & It's Gutter Rag brothers have somehow forgotten to report this little point, Now I wonder Why Chaps?
Fritz Von I wonder when Our Deano was a Judge if he ever sentenced a fellow Mason?
I expect the British er, media forgot to mention that er, Madonna paid er, $3 Million for her lickle African baby recently too, though I'm sure you're all well aware of this, innit?
P.S. Comparing Mainwaring (that damned Bank Clerk) with Parry is doing Walmington on Sea no favours whatso'ever, Parry is not funny, he's a Classic Greed & Run Merchant using other peoples momney at their risk seeking his respectability on a virtual internet forum and don't forget it*

Acad,
Let me say as a long time fan of "Dads Army", your comparison of Arthur Lowe's character "Captain George Mainwaring" and forum buffoon Parry is an unfair one.
Does any of the above sound remotely like Parry?

quote:Whilst his competence in military matters can be (and frequently is) called into question, his sheer bravery and courage cannot be denied; he is frequently willing to put himself in harm's way for the sake of his country and his platoon, and has frequently demonstrated that he is more than willing to take the same risks that he will order his men to undertake. Although his leadership is not always the most competent or efficient, the men serving under him are for the most part extremely loyal and devoted to him. There are also several scenes where Mainwaring is shown as a genuinely kind-hearted man, the most notable example being in his "brief encounter" with Mrs. Gray in the episode Mum's Army.

You normally strive to sound so very working class Fritz! Who would've though that you don't believe in the virtuous working classes after all - but actually admire the captains of industry? Golly.
(Talking of risk-taking, most employees are unsecured creditors - which some find out after they don't get their wages when the company goes bust.)

I think it's impotent to repeat (once again) for Our Deano's benefit, that when I refer to the Virtual/fictional? 'personality' Parry on these matters fiscal, I refer to the opinion he puts across in the position he tells us that he's in and has earned through (half a life's) hard graft* The Kiwi perception that Berlin Fritz pertains to be working class or indeed anything else class-wise either is amusing to me to the core actually, and re-enforces your own inability to admit to the utter disaster your er, Class System thread ended up as, ie, getting nowhere fast, just as one small example of your old tosh disguised as lateral thought.
Best Regards,
Fritz I think it's also important to once again reitterate that Berlin Fritz does not require smarty points, does not have a hidden agenda, uses his real name, and has no political or religious persuations (on here) from either the left nor the right John*
N.B. The last sentence stating the bleedin obvious once again, and if you consider the likes of Our Mick as Captains of industry, pray tell me where their investment & ready cash funds are coming from, cos it's certainly not from his pockets, nor from loans and credits in his name, though thank's for that Son*
Any fool with the right connections can milk the taxpayer, just look at Cheynie*
P.S. About 2 months ago I posted my admiration of Sir Digby Jones head of the DTI, if anybody cared to read it? Although I don't actually strive to write anything on here (it all comes very naturally actually) I think it's nice to mention the fact that Dear Gordon's first priority in Office (which he wont get to) is to dismantle the er, DTI, and subsequently erase his tracks (PFI-Wise for one) do we Ken Chaps, is Fritz making it all up in his tiny sorded lickle mind?

The main downside of working on rigs Our Fredders is that sometimes the taxi unfortunately crashes into ice cold water old Son. Having just seen the News regarding the latest UK tragedy from noon (local time onwards) I was amazed that it took 8 minutes for one to actually ascertain that 6 bodies had been found and one more yet to come. No guessing which Channel! but I'm still almost in disbelief how they panned it out, it's Hollywood Pure, we'll be having air insurance ads in-between next God forbid, poor bastards!
Fritz Von Well it's just started snowing here for the first time Chaps, so that'll warm things up, innit*
N.B. Another reference to the Queen's Shilling thread as admirable as it is to air ones er,. admiration in Public on an internet forum, and be associated with it all, I'm sure many of you will also be aware (maybe in fact none of you?) that a large percentage of the Britsh Forces now belong (for the first time in British Military History) to a sort of In-House Union (All Ranks) known as the 'British Armed Forces Federation' and what some of you Chaps out there that are truly interested in the subject should be asking yourselves the very pertinent question ---
WHY?
Go on, Take a risk and inform yourselves what's happenning in the real bloody world out there for once Chaps, they're your Chaps after all is said and done, innit*
Wearing a poppy to remember the Glorious Dead is easy in Comparison, or am I making it up?
700 Hours+ of valuable Parliamentary Bullshit (Both Houses) wasted on the farce re. Fox Hunting, 8 Hours spent on sending troops to Iraq, without a vote or debate*
Says it all priority-wise I think Chaps*

Dear Friends,
I have eaten a huge plateful of this glorious food for lunch. On its third day, which is supposed to be the best! I am shortly to be taught how to make it for myself, as apparently any recipe is really only half the story! Just like playing music then!
Only Heineken [one can] to go with it, sadly!
Happy New Year to Y’all! Fredrik
Well done Our Fredders! That'll get you out of the soup and into a new stew alright Old Bean, though I'm afraid I'd rather just drink tap water myself (if it's drinkable there that is?) than that stuff which is rather like making love in a punt really isn't it?

I would have gone and got a "decenter" beer, but I am off out again in a mo' to sort someone else's Council Tax out, so I thought better of it. Work in less than two hours! More "shyte" flying there too! But nothing to add really, beyond the observation that I shall never quite fit in at the place again! In fact I am on borrowed time, till my one time manager comes back to work from leave due to stress. I have been transfered back to my old department on pain of otherwise not having a job. Yes it is "my own fault" and I cannot deny it, though the circumstances would have been enough to try the patience of a Saint, which I am not!
