I was just thinking how very appropiate this years Nobel Prize Winner for Ecomonics was in real terms. Just think of the hundreds of millions of people around the world that previously had no hope nor income whatso'ever, but now have both, and are slowly but surely building a base of financial future security, that not only will be highly attractive to Our Mick's cheap Labour Wallers, but also to other sellers of goods that previously wouldn't have even looked in that direction!
Fritz Von Perhaps somebody should start a Micro Credit thread then?
P.S. Nice to see the Proud National Danish Symbol of Lego moving shop to er, The Czech Republic then to cut on labour costs by er, 80%, innit*

Wouldn't it be interesting if Charlton are around the middle of the League at the end of the season and The Hammers are really struggling to survive relegation once again? As most Chaps on here are seemingly basically turned on by money it seems to me, cunningly disguised as many other things, I bet the odds of England avoiding an Ashes whitewash are quite high (big money to be made in fact), well I never, we shall see won't we Chaps!
Fritz Von My parcel still didn't arrive yet, and Postie looked at me today as if I should give him a tip (New Chap you see Chaps), I think my look told him not to hint upon the prospect, I personally dont take anything for granted anymore (except Parry's comments of course).
And that's magic.
"The best advice you Chaps'll ever get from Berlin Fritz on this forum is, "Never listen to anybody's advice"
Goodnight*

You have been declared whinging and shit stirring number one enemy of the postal workers.
We all hate you because you don't like us having fat pensions and even the old posties are in line for big hand outs on shares.
I wouldn't hold out much hope for the parcel old chap. Don't expect the postman to like you when you slag him off. Half of your mail is probably in someones dustbin.
Happy new year.
Regards
Mick

I think it's marvellous that such a small undeveloped and backward country such as India can in the space of a year turn around a massive deficit in it's Railways into a £2,5 Billion profit, cutting fares, introducing dedicated lines (Spurs) for goods traffic to make it more efficient etc, etc, etc.
Fritz Von You'd think if a little backwater like that could do it, so could Blighty eh Chaps!
P.S. I wonder who's gonna make the Classic Arrogant Steriotypical Comment then?
I knew an angry trainer once who got so cross he nearly developed epilepsy!

Now is the time.....get off your ass and get a job with Network Rail and show them how it is done. Go on, I dare you, it is dead easy spouting here, so lets see you do something constructive.

Network Rail is doing relatively well at present in it's own right, and has glowing reports of late. Wether this will 'be allowed' to continue or not in the furure is another matter entirely as unlike other er, so-called companies in the UK that are making money from PFI and railway lines combined, NetRail is staffed by experienced 'qualified' well paid and motivated Pro's from another age where safety and quality , meant somthing and certainly would get no help from me in the UK. ExConMan, Virgin on the Ridiculous, etc, etc, etc, screw the buses by moronic eneducated (and unelected) Council Wallers will soon be Blair's real Legacy to name but a few*
Fritz Von Connex lasted 5 seconds here on my very doorstep, Now I wonder Why?*
Our Mick stop wasting your well earned precious scotch swilling time on here talking gibberish and go and teach yourself how to write the odd sentence in plain English, or Spanish even if that suits you more betterer!
Liked your guitar lesson link on your website, very Posh John*
God only knows why you try to be clever on here, when you've once again bought your way back into the swearing and chav section of the old Pink salmon Show where you're obviously far more at home with certain uncouth daft individuals that pander to your verbal tosh, innit?*
I've written off ever getting that parcel, though do feel sorry for the person who went to the trouble to send it, as well as the ridiculous postage it cost him (which I'll reimburse very soon).
The Kaiser's Post is Coming to Britain soon, then you'll see service*
I trust that Mrs Mick is still not Steamin in the kitchen?

Repetition I think me Old Dockinrock or was it possibly good old hesitation John? Irrespective of what hifi system I may possess the very last thing on earth I personally would wish to experience would be meeting members of this forum at a grill party, though my ego tells me some might like meeting me for some reason?

Be careful though Our Andy cos as only preached not some 10 days afore in this very Boutique by Our Mick himself, shopping over there is ludicrously expensive at the minute, and let's face it, he should jolly well know being a Spectator expert and all, innit*

Fritz Von Looks like you were right again (not as daft as you sound it appears!), my cheque has indeed been lost in the post it seems, ah well, it's lucky I'm a highly trained survivor then?
P.S. I see yet more negative moves have hampered the Farcepak (Swindon, Wilts) Mugs*

Putting aside the President's IQ , I think there are a number of reasons he is as popular as he is with some voters.
First of all, here in the West, people have a very definite view of politics and the world in general, that view is simplistic, homespun, and very firm. Most of Bush's support has come from the Western Plains and the South. There has always been a huge gap in America between the rich and poor, during the 40's 50' and 60's that gap narrowed and we had a large fairly affluent middle class. This was the era of Liberalism at it's height. Now, with a large disenfranchised lower class and a struggling middle income group (whose ranks are thinning) people do not have the leisure time they once did, time that could be used to better inform oneself about the world at large.
Union membership is way down, your average US citizen today gets it's guidance from the electronic media, a media that has become increasingly focused on corporate priorities and on which the firm simplicity of the Conservative message comes across quite effectively.
I should mention that being born in the South, having lived there and in the Western states for a vast portion of my life, I can well understand the appeal of Conservatism. But the truth is the last frontier disappeared almost 150 years ago, and the primitive 'go it your own' philosophy of the West, is no longer relevant. That does not however, make it any less appealing to those who long for a simpler time, and a world where everything is black and white.
In my district, here in NM, Republican support in the last election was about 70%. Bush support at my place of work runs about 90 %. Some of these are very nice people. One guy who is an avid Rush Limbaugh listener and has a limited education, does not believe the moon landing ever happened, and has some other curious ideas about the world at large. He's a good bloke, I always look foreword to seeing him and we have a good laugh, but I would not dream of attempting to impose any of my political beliefs on him or anyone else. If someone asks I'll tell them I'm a Democrat, and leave it there.
I don't know what the solution to all this is, when Bush leaves office he will either be replaced with someone who is as bad or worse, or a Democrat compromise type candidate, who will be ineffective and basically useless. I do agree on some level that our leaders can only be as good as the people they lead, over time, and as always, only in a 'democratic' society.

Shocked & Stunned
Regards,
Fritz Von Cheynie & Rummy are now responsible for the death of an ex President in his own Sovreign land invaded by the Yankee agressor for no legal reason whatso'ever, tell me otherwise?
America has become the rich playground bully that is slowly & unfortunately becoming inhabited by uneducated moronic selfish human beings who know about nothing in this world further than the end of their noses, God told me this personally, so it must be true Chaps, innit. (Allowing Husseins death in a Civil War/undemocratic ridden land was a big mistke and I feel the 'West' will suffer greatly from it) like the Yanks, Arabs generally want blood, then calm down when the meat is cooked and ready for eating*
I think Saddam is the first ever President (ex) to be exceuted by a foreign power in modern History, anybody care to name another?
Rumania etc killed their own under their own system.
Sandhurst trained Idi, later to live a life of luxury in er, Saudi Arabia died a natural death, as did, Pinochet, Smith, Stalin, Mao, Nixon, Mugabe?, Pot, etc, etc, etc, not to mention all the bottom lickers living it up in South America & Africa on Diplomatic tickets*
Talking of daft unscrupulous tyrants, Our Mick will be amused to hear that I'm now enjoying homemade unlevened bread (flour & water baked) with Spam (not Wiltshire) and salt, and very tasty it is too John(s).
Deano my earlier post means that Berlin Fritz hs NO political leanins, do you Ken Son?

It's 'Piss Off' and that's is an abbreviation of that is by the way John! You often BOAST on here that you never pay for things, so I must assume that going regularly to the same nosebag gaff means you get it buckshee Jack? Your friend Merlin is a boring wine anyway that has never seen grapes nor vines, only stainless steel vats and months of jiggery-pokery disguised as ageing, ie, money-making as with most subjects on this forum, that's why I take nobody here seriously, top hifi's or not, Music is what counts Baby*
A very dear friend of mine (Welsh)(believe it or not a long term, still-serving member of the er, Post Office in the United Kingdom) once said to me "Chaucer was obviously a Muslim" to which I replied "Yeah! but Leeds still wont win the FA Cup Final"
