A 17 year old Astrid, later to be a finacé and reason for coming to Berlin, I bet her old man was well relieved when that didn't work out! His first ever question to me in Oslo was what I thought of Maggie? She later married a Jock, so he couldn't win them all I suppose afterall, innit! Note the 19 year old Fritz in Brushed cotton (furry) Fred Perry shirty thing & ESB in hand*
As you may well be aware Our Fredders the Old Norwegians like a drop of the old Vodka as well John*

You can also gen up on here, innit*
Bump:
About a month ago my old telly (big one) gave up the ghost on me, as it kept cutting out after ten minutes or so (probably the temperature) wunnit. It's worked great for many years connected to a sat box (via scat) where I basically only had to turn in on, and all the rest done with Sat remote. I've also had it running fine with a brand new video player/recorder now some 18 months old via just a coax cable, turn of sat digi, box, switch to 2nd channel on telly and all's hunky dory. I've now connected Sat box to my portable (also 18 months old, but this same arrangement doesn't work for some reason, any ideas out there, if interested at all at all?). The sat box is turned off totally and the video is connected by coax as before, but no joy, the video has two scat connections so I can go direct etc & record, but I don't need all that stuff, innit*
Supposed I'll have to call in the Job Centre Waller eh!

p.s they shoot straight out across the river from a hide made of old pallets, on the south bank. So choose your seat on the ferry with care.

N.B. Latest News is that a distraught French tourist lost on the outskirts of Ealing has now been released by local PCSO quick response forearms Officers (only between 12:30 - 17:15) as they have to pick the kids up from school in their patrol cars to show off/sorry advertise theior presence, after they accused him of using abusive language. It turned out that he simply asked them the time, and one pointed at the town Hall clock which was rapidly rising and digital in apprearance, after remonstrating he was nicked with the full farce of the Law, but later released on bail when they were reminded that Tony Blair speaks French fluently too.
He was later quoted as sayin/screamin "I never want to visit this fuckin crazy money-grabbin undemocratic land again, thank fuck for real urope"
No wonder the famour Ealing Pentacostles left as well then?
It turned out the clock was actually the current (daily) Council Tax hike!!!

Cheers Our Beano, but as daft as it sounds instead of forking out for new scart cables, I'll just remove it from tv when watching a video, plain and simple coax just like the good old days.

This is maybe the point JohanR was trying to make and could save petrol providing the high gears were not selected too early.
I dont see that his comment is so clearly this or that - its rather vague and therefore not worth getting upset over. Perhaps he will clarify what he means.

Blatantly obvious innit Our Acad! I mean it's bleedin lucky nodody has a really decent motor to whinge about that's all I can say John*
Cheers,
Fritz Von Some twat has started calling me 8 times+ a day again morning and night leaving no message, last time I had to get the cops to trace & stop it (best bit for this service they knoock it off my bill, unless it's a court jobbie of somekind that is).
When I pick it up they put it down, so I only take messages now, great thing AM's ain't they!

And to think they're trackin all this shite anyway, enough to make one paranoid so it is, innit!

It could be Parry trying to pluck up enough nerve to ask you out for a drink. Personally I wouldn't accept, not even out of curiousty, you'd end up having to buy the drinks yourself as he would be sure to have left his wallet at home and who wants to be seen in public with some old git wearing leather biking gear?

We started getting calls like this a few years ago, and I can understand how you feel, it made my wife ill. I tried deafening the bastard by blowing down the line with a referees whistle!
It eventually ended when BT agreed to get the police involved, this was only after us agreeing to prosecute if and when they caught them, which they did. It turned out to be a mentally ill woman,(suicidal actually) we didn't prosecute. Sadly she succeeded in her quest several months later after receiving her phone bill for 700 quid.

Dear Fritz,
Nice pictures. Thanks. I did know the "Old Norwegians," my late grandfather among them, were quite happy to enjoy a good Vodka or two or even more. He lived to 76, which is not that old these days, but he resolutely refused his doctor's advice on lengthening his life. He enjoyed most of what he had. I think there is a lesson in this somewhere. He was the human I admired and loved above any other and second was his lovely wife, who was very kind to me.
But Norway is not the place for apart from visits. I know that, as I have never clung to others' coat tails. My Norwegian aunt is still my favourite familly member, but I hardly trouble her with the details of my life in case she thinks I am after an easy leg up. Never, not that.
Thanks for your pictures, dear Fritz, from Fredrik

On the dosh that you Chaps purpordtedly recieve I'd have thought that one for every day of the week would be just the prescribed ticket John!
