Well, those are not even the worst; there's a Millie Jackson cover where she is taking a dump, grimacing while trying to pass a thick one...

and here she is in full glory........

I thought that the Blind Faith cover (which I'd have no idea how to find or attach) was reckoned to be about the worst ever.

This one (Deluxe version shown to avoid controversy.)

Thanks, but covering over the pubescent glands rather detracts from the point (sorry!) that I was seeking to make. Quite dreadful, in my opinion, and shouldn't be allowed. There are enough perverts out there without any need for support from a "supergroup": what were they thinking?

Nudity does not equal sex, otherwise they'd be shutting the National Gallery tomorrow.

The cover was shot by a photographer called Bob Seidman, who explained as follows: " The virgin..is the fruit of the tree of life, and the spaceship is the fruit of the tree of knowledge...As man steps into the galaxy, I wanted innocence to carry my spaceship" (Source: The Album Cover Album by Dominy Hamilton 1977)

Very hippyish, but then 1969 was a different time with a different mindset. I disagree with Graham 55, I don't think it is perverted, just out of sync with present day thinking. Bet you didn't even notice the spaceship!

On a lighter note, the worst album cover I know is Metalworks by Judas Priest which rehashes the ir covers of the previous 20 years. And then there's 'Scream Dream' by Ted Nugent...

Keep 'em coming guys!

That's not that gross - it's not like you can see either urine or a log coming out, is it? Personally I think it's pretty cool that someone has the, err, balls, to do a cover like that, since burping, crapping and peeing seem to be such taboo subjects.

Same with the Blind Faith cover to be honest.

This one's noise-core musically, but still doesn't shock me visually:

All of about 12 minutes long - and very loud.

With all respect, I don't really care what justification the photograher applied to the Blind Faith cover. I remember the fuss it caused when the LP came out: the image was as repugnant then as it is now. Indeed. I think that the cover was changed for the US release.

I regret the loss of innocence among the young. And, of course, nudity doesn't equate to sex, but I didn't think then, nor do I think now, that the album cover was aimed at patrons of the National Gallery.

And I thought the Decca Art-work on the fifties classical Lps was pretty dire! How thing have moved on! [Must get out more].

The photograher of the cover would probably be placed on the Sex Offender's Register nowadays.......... (Blind Faith - not Decca)

Just goes to show how fucked up these times really are.

Blind Faith?

Of course, here in Evangelical America, we had the boring cover with just a photo of the group.

Mind you, they would probably have got away with it if the record had been any good. I thought early Clapton was great - Yardbirds, John Mayall, Cream - but from BF on he sought of lost it for me. Was at the gig in Hyde park (their first one, I believe) and they were shite.

I'll get my tin hat...

that web site is too funny, I have to send that to my friends.

I post the Beatles' one with the cut up dolls, thi I think it was respectfully taken off the shelves before many got out. Whoda thunk the Beatles were so twisted?

The last 4 or so Proclaimers album covers have been horrendous, unlike the recordings within.

They show pictures of themselves rather than of something else Scottish. So did the 1st 2 great albums, although Scotland was visible partially on 'Sunshine On Leith'.
