Mac users and Windows PDA sync
Posted by: MontyW on 19 November 2005
Hi,
Having just moved over to a Mac, I now find myself unable to sync my XDA (Executive) that run Windows Mobile 5 with my new Mac. Can any of you Mac users out there recommend a sync programme where I can use BlueTooth to sync with Entourage.
Thanks,
David

Hang on that one appears to have poor reliability,
There is this one:
http://macintoshpocketpc.com/I have not used them as I don't have a Pocket PC, there do work with mac though.

David,
If you purchase this, can you feed back how you get on. I use an ancient Handspring and the wife uses a Palm, neither of which sync with the Mac. Also be interesting to know if you can Bluetooth Nokia to Mac. When I contacted Nokia they told me they do not have any method of linking their product to Mac, an oversight surely.

Nicnaim unless the palm is from the dark ages it will sync happily with macs.

Most recent palms should sync with isync fine (i.e. Tungsten, Zire or Treos).
As far as Nokia support goes, my 6600 syncs very well. My only complaint is down to the nokia not supporting multiple calendars, but apart from that it's great.
See here for list of supported devices (not all nokia phones work and it sometimes takes them a while to add support for new models):

Tam,
Thanks for the link. However, O2 XDA is not supported by isync and I will have to purchase third party software.
