Private Messages?

Dear Friends,

Can they be done in the new dispensation, or that luxury now lost? How often one wants to follow up an issue, or apologies or whatever...

I am particularly useless, so any explanation, literally, needs to be fool-proof!

Fredrik,

Private Messages were removed as part of the overhaul of the forum towards the end of last year. The idea being to streamline the place to make it easier to navigate and do searches etc.

It's a pain I know. Two possible ways round it though:-

1) Join another forum which has Private Messages (!)

OR

2) Creat an email account with online sites such as hotmail or yahoo - this obviously would not be your real email address but you could invite the party with whom you wish to correspond to email this "temporary" account where you can post your real address without the rest of us finding out!

that is about what I reckoned. So I have to set up a "disposable " hotmial a/c, which can die when it get poluted...
