n-vi possible temporarily with no front left/right speakers?

Can anyone help?
I've just moved house and am now using the stereo in a separate room from my AV stuff. I was using sbls as front speakers with n-vi plus a 52/135s combination and an ncent centre with 2 cheap MA surrounds and no sub. The sbls are now in the other room with the 52/135s so I now have no front speakers for the av room.
Until I can get around to new av front speakers - what with the cost of moving and all - is there anything I can do to use the ncent as the only front speaker for left, right and centre channels with the n-vi? It would need to cope with DVD and input from a V+ box for TV.
The n-vi seems to allow settings for no centre, no sub and no surrounds but not no front left & right. I'd rather not buy temporary cheap speakers and then have to ditch them when I buy something good.
Thanks, David
PS By the way - the picture on my Panasonic plasma from the V+ box is significantly better than my strong freeview signal, which in turn was a lot better than my previous Sky box.
