LCD soundsystem

Picked up the new one today and am currently sitting at work with my headphones on trying hard not to start dancing on my desk. Some fantastic rythmic ideas in a melting pot sound which comes across like the bastard offspring off Talking Heads, Human league and great club music.

Really really good.

I downloaded 'North American Scum' a few weeks back and everytime it's on the radio in the car it gets full volume. I've got their first album which i was disappointed in but the current one sounds cool. Altogether now .................... We are North American Scum

Cool Cool Cool Cool

Hi all

Just bought it today on Vinyl and about to spin it. I have their debut which is a cracker for a debut.

Does it sound the business on vinyl? I am feeling the inclination towards multi format purchasing....

Whilst I am at it, I think 'all my Friends' is more infectious than Ebola. Smile

Hi Simon

I just gave it a spin and first impressions are not to good, but the music is very hectic and fast and my LP12 might not be handling it to well thus making it seem worse than it is. On the last track the sound improves some what. So I would not say its the business. I give it a few more spins this week and give you a little review, a final verdict if you like.

Without doubt the new album is better than the first, the new album has song's, simple as that.

It is more consistent than the previous album, it is a mature piece of work and i think it will take a special album to better it this year.

If you get the chance see them live you must, just seem them at the UEA, simply fantastic!

Long may it continue Mr Murphy!
