Funky Soul - i need it

Recently started to listen to funky soul, i'm talking whitney marva, vicki anderson, james brown..... Any suggestions along these lines would be great. Also been listening to a great album called cheatin soul, anything like that would be great also...

I recently got a Booker T and the MGs Collection double disc from amazon.com. Very funky instrumental stuff.

It doesn't get much funkier or more soulful than Booker T and the MGs, especially their work as the house band for all those great Stax sides. Check out Sam and Dave, Otis Redding, Rufus and Carla Thomas, Eddie Floyd, the Staple Singers, and Issac Hayes.
