The n-Vi returns

No not to Naims product range but back to my lounge after a 6 week absence. New display and latest firmware (and a couple of other bits according to the job sheet). Apart from a working display, DVD access is much quicker (as is general navigation) and whereas it would take about 10 seconds for my plasma to lock to its signal this is now instantaneous. Back to movie watching again

I haven't used a DVD player for going on 2 years now, the whole thing seems antiquated

Hi James. My N-Vi isn't playing up beyond the usual foible of taking ages to decide if it has a DC or DVD in the tray - but do you reckon it's worth sending it off and getting the latest firmware installed on it anyway?

By DC of course I mean CD.

C.P - Might be worth a trip to the dealer to get it checked out. It's certainly a lot better since its repair and update.

I would always suggest running with the latest firmware if you are seeing issues
