Matt

I think Matt should win but One Direction are fun and I think could be about for a while.
Rebecca's voice and delivery grate on me I'm afraid.

Cher (not my cup of tea) doesn't need to win to succeed but Rebecca does.

I agree about Cher, she is gifted and should do well. She looked very confident with Will.I.Am. She also has personality in heaps and attitude. America bound probs.

Diccus,
Had a look tonight only because i was on a sweep stake with some mates to see if Cher went.
Result. I won a few squid.
We have all put it on the boy band to win.
I have never heard them but they will win.I hope
Stu
I think there is a big chance that One election will cross the finishing line first. Not that it hugely matters the finalists should all have at least initially good careers.
enjoy your winnings Stu

Same here, she has the best voice out of all of them, she is the only one on there that I would buy the CD of.

Does anybody know what the actual numbers were? I'm curious how many votes were actually cast.

Reported on the BBC website today :-
"According to figures released by ITV, 15.4m votes were cast during the 10-week series."

Well I really wanted Rebecca to win, her voice is incredible, will definitely buy her album when it comes out, which will be a first for me.
Matts a nice guy, but 10 a penny

His performances of The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face and Knights in White Satin were anything but ten a penny.
For me Rebecca had zero charisma, zero stage presence, and a boring nasal drone of a voice that made every song sound the same while affecting my ears like a finger nail being drawn down a blackboard.
To be honest I suspect One Direction will end up coming out of with the most success over all. They can actually sing and there's a nice chemistry between them, which makes them fun to watch.

She should fit in with the majority of female singers that are around now. Has she got an accentuated estuary accent too just to finish it off?

She's a Scouser and is being touted as a fantastic inspiration for the girls of Liverpool. She's in her early 20s, a single mother of two kids each with a different father.
