naim forum addition

Posted by: Scott Ryan on 10 December 2003

Has anyone ever wished for a forum-type section on the Naim website for Naim product (specific, by category and model) reviews, comments and experiences?

Seems to me we would all enjoy that type of "tool", and it would be a great place to learn valuable information for upgrades, component matching, etc. You could even send a prospective buyer there for helpful information. We should be able to trust its content, on the whole, more than a single review in any periodical that we may like (or dislike).

If there were concern for "phantom" reviews from competing manufacturers and/or their devotees, maybe it could be limited (by password or something) to those who have purchased Naim equipment and registered that equipment with Naim.

Thoughts?

I think what you describe is what we already have.

Too many subdivisions within a forum causes confusion.

The only forum suggestion I'd go with would be to return to the previous infopop format that is still used by the Mana forum.

With this one I keep getting "script errors" whenever I post and we've lost the "hop to" facility for jumping between different forum "rooms."

The only improvement has been the increased bandwidth from 30 to 50 kb for pics.

Steve.

Hop to is still there just click on the small house symbol. Not sure about your script error messsgaes, perhaps its your end.

How about we get to see what the dealers are talking about ? It's not fair, they get to see what we are saying !

The old interface is still available. Log out and when you log back in check the "Disable Advanced Interface" option and you will have the older but superior interface.
