Gaucho in 24/96?

Interesting news from aitch dee tracks. Got to be worth a punt as long as it's not 16/44 in a 24/96 wrapper

It will be interesting to download a track and compare, but the early press CD versions of Gaucho are demonstration quality anyway. Is that why they seem to choose music that is already well mastered I wonder? Can't really go wrong with it.

I can think of hundreds of albums more deserving of a sympathetic re-issue. The format is not as important as the mastering.

The MCLD CD issues of the classic catalogue are all exemplary IMHO.

Very serviceable indeed. Hey Nineteen in particular benefits from the hi-res medium - the percussion is spot-on. I love this album.
