I've got Bible of Dreams, Beyond the Infinite and Shango. I feel Shango is the better of the 3. Would anyone recommed other JR albums?

Thanks

I quite like Labyrinth. Of the 3 you mention it is closest to Bible mof Dreams which is my favourite JR album.
If you like Juno Reactor have you checked out Pete Namlook? A slippery slope I know because he's made hundreds of albums in a lot oif different ambient styles

B, if you like Juno Reactor, I can only recommend you to check The Matrix Reloaded disc 2 if you haven't already done so (Juno Reactor & Don Davis). although not exactly sounding like Bible of Dreams or Shango, this soundtrack is one of my favourite electronica cd.

@ B & JCS: by the way, how do Beyond the Infinite and Labyrinth compare to Bible of Dream and Shango?

OdS,

OK I might check that (Matrix reloaded) out. Is disc one not so good?

I think Bible of Dreams is better than Beyond the Infinite but Shango is better than both. But all are still enjoyable. I know Shango is very different to either of the earlier albums but for me its a good thing. I'm hoping Labyrinth is in a similar vein to Shango.

Do you have any other elctronica recommendations along a similar line? I'm a big fan of Banco de Gaia but is hard to follow. Other electronica favourites include Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream (also very hard to follow). Also really enjoy Leftfield (when are they going to produce a new album!?) and Faithless (can I also include Depeche Mode?). I love early OMD.

Electronia is very easy to screw up. No blatant blinky blink for me (e.g Aphex Twin). It needs to be more industrial but varied. I feel Banco De Gaia gets the balance just right. I do not get on with things like Infected Mushroom and other more crazy sounding hallucinogenic inspired music. I find it so cliched and boring. Shpongle is also not a fav although it has its (few) moments.

OK, I'll stop now

Thanks
Bruce

Matrix Reloaded disc one is a compilation of different artits such as Linkin Park, Marilyn Manson, Paul Oakenfold, Fluke, The Deftones and so on, which you might like or not. disc two is filled with Don Davis and Juno Reactor tracks; interesting mix of classical music and electronica!

I heard a rumour saying that Leftfield is going to release something new in 2007. I can only hope that's not only a rumour!

you may give a try to the following: Loscil, Crazy Ivan, Sven Väth or Paul Oakenfold.

I feel like I'm goint to listen to Bible of Dreams again, haven't done so for a very long time!

OdS,

Bible of Dreams....did you listen? Were you reconnected?

Thanks for the recommendations. Can't believe I forgot to mention Underworld (minus their last album)in my little list.
