Snaps with 92R

My system currently consists of a Micromega Leader II CD, Project turntable, 92R pre-amp, 90.3 power amp and Credos. I've just aquired a cheap SNAPS power supply and am wondering if it can be used to power the 92R, what benefits I'm likely to get and what additional cables I'll need.

I'm also considering getting an active crossover and another power amp - could the SNAPS also be used to power the crossover?

Unmodded, the Snaps will power the 92 or an old old crossover with a four-pin input. All you need is a four pin Snaic.

However, if you acquire a five-pin DIN socket, you can do a very easy mod so that a Snaps works like a Flatcap (with a bigger transformer). Then you can power any Naim piece you like.

Unmodded into the preamp, you should get better scale, richer midrange, less grain. It will actually sound like an amp upgrade. If you are using phono boards, the advantage of the mod to a five-pin connection is that the phono boards (and the noise they dump into the system) will be powered separately from the line stage.
