Fiorentina v Everton

Florence ,A beautiful city, friendly, sociable, pretty, cultured - on the Wednesday. Thursday it was surly, unfriendly, inhospitable, unsociable, intimidating - and thats not mentioning the bitter wind, ice cold rain and hail, the cages, piss-poor view and shield-toting, behelmeted groks or the multi-police-car-escorted coaches back to somehere you didn't want to be. No bars open afterwards, 4000 fans dissipated f*ck knows where. Italians should be ashamed of themselves. It would be nice if we could show them some real friendliness and hospitality next week and let them know how it should be done - as the Nuremburgers showed us

Best way - is to make them feel warm and welcome and then beat them 3-0.

Hi Blueknowz,
I was trying to forget that game!

Sounds like you had a really crappy experience, which wasn't helped by the Blues putting in one of their worst performances of the season. It was so disappointing, considering how well they have been playing lately. They couldn't string 3 passes together and there was absolutely no service to Yakubu. Too many players were off form on the night - I wonder if they were a little overawed?
I hope I'm very wrong but I fear that second goal may prove to be decisive, especially with no away goal to take back to Goodison. If they sneak a goal then we will need 4 - a very tall order!
Hopefully we'll get back to winning ways tomorrow!

I thought you might have known that Fiorentina supporters are some of the most violent in Italy. It is a very intimidating place to go an watch football.
The last time they got relegated to the Italian Second division they rioted.
They probably don't have much love for the English.

i am scottish and proud of it but i feel british football supporters who travel aboard are treated like sh*t we do one thing and are told by football bosses we will be thrown out the competition yet italy has a massive hooligan element.
spain is openly racist
yet no action is ever taken against these nations really gets on my nerves

How about loading them up on coaches ,dropping them off in Liverpool 8 and saying walk to lime street now and see how brave they are then.
