I had the good fortune to catch the Dead twice when they visited the UK. I see Zimmie every UK tour but I often wished I lived in the U.S as my Dylan/ Dead concert attendance tally would be significantly higher.

555-

"Suddenly I feel quite normal"

I have a Deadhead friend who saw the band play something approaching 400 shows. My favorite comment of his, made recently as we were leaving a Phil Lesh and Friends show which particularly inspired some younger fans who had clearly never had a chance to see Garcia play live at all, was that "the biggest regret of his life" was allowing his wife to talk him out of seeing Garcia on Broadway so she could go to her sister's wedding. Other than that blemish, he took in all 15 sets Jerry played on his 1987 Broadway residency. Now, Mike may be a bit obsessive, but whose to say...

The Who 5 times 70-76.
Brian Wilson 5 times since 2002.
Stones 3 times 71-76.
Deep Purple 3 times 71-73.

Plus a few others I saw a couple of times. I don't understand how anybody's got the time to see a band several hundred times. Lucky sods!

Paul Weller 17 times.

That just reminded me, just ordered "Live at Braehead" DVD to save me the bother this year.

Last year he was playing a fair bit of new (rubbish) stuff and got the message it was not going down too well. He had a Tourettes moment with us, the toys came flying out of the pram and he resorted back to some good stuff 'till he felt loved again.

Audience Power! Big Grin
