BBC Messiah Music

Does anyone know the music that the BBC are currently using in the trailers for the programme Messiah. Feel I know it but can't quite put a finger on it.

Haven't seen any but, as a wild guess, Handel's Messiah?

That was my first thought as obvious choice but definitely isn't Handel. If it helps it sounds like Barbers Adagio for strings but using voices (if that makes sense).

.., which is the famous Adagio re-composed for a choir, and I think is more beautiful on voices than strings.

Don't have a TV so I could not help. Sorry, Fredrik

I have a couple of versions of Adagio , but could anyone point me in the direction of Agnes Dei (I must admit I've never heard the choral version before).

Thanks for any info on currently available CDs.

I have a copy of Agnus Dei that is performed by the Choir of New College, Oxford on the Erato label.

From what I saw of the program, I'm pretty sure it came from this disc.

I've had it for some years. Sunday morning stuff, but it get's a spin every now and then and I enjoy it.
