My Dad's in town and we've spent two great days of listening to classical music at home and at Promusica. Ken C was very gracious and played many of his master recordings for him.
My dad loves Beethoven Piano Concerto #3. Any recommendations?
Thoughts appreciated.

There are many excellent performances, but one set (of all 5 Beethoven concertos) I like is by pianist Russell Sherman, with the Czech Philharmonic conducted by Vaclav Neumann on Vanguard, available very cheaply(should be under $20 on Amazon and elsewhere.

It's currently only available in the DG Historical Beethoven recordings box, but Annie Fischer and Ferenc Fricsay recorded my favorite version of this work.
Other good, and more readily available, recordings include the aforementioned Sherman / Neumann, Kempff / Kempen, Pollini / Abbado, Serkin / Bernstein, Kuerti / Davis, and Bronfman / Zinman.
