Summer in the city - Quincy Jones

Hi there,

I am always a big fan of Nightmares on Wax, yet to buy the new ablum though. Les Nuits (or Nights Interlude) is a classic track for chill-out fan. Should be as well as Jazz fans, even though is not classic Jazz.

In the Hi-Fi show last Sat, it's the first time I heard the original 'Summer in the City' by Quincy Jones. Which Les Nuits is sampling from. I tried to find 'Summer in the city' appear on which Quincy Jones's LP or ideally greatest hits. Do any of you can tell me, thanks.

Listened to a track at Wilson Benesch last Sat, it's from the LP, 'Hope' by Huge Masekela, it's great track, not sure which no. is it, but will getthe CD for sure. Any of you know more about him and which album should I get first?

cheers
Martin

Hope is also a bugger to get hold of, so order it online now and you might get it just before Christmas.

Hi Nick,

Wilson Benesch used the same track, it must be a very popular track for demo. Wilson Benesch used Vinyl. Surely will get the live CD 'Hope'. Is that any chance that the studio version is better?

There is a new album from him called 'Time', any good?

What about 'Summer in the city' by Quincy Jones, anyone?

cheers
